FIGHTING FOR WORKING FAMILIES

I’m Scott Hege, a Wasco County Commissioner, engineer, and small business leader running for House District 52. It’s been a real joy for me to be involved in public service and I’m proud of the results we’ve been able to achieve for our local communities in Wasco County. We’ve shown that when the government focuses on practical priorities, we can strengthen our economy, fully fund law enforcement, maintain our roads, and deliver quality services. 

I’ve lived in Wasco County since 1991 and previously served as Executive Director of the Port of The Dalles. During my time at the Port and in my 16 years as a County Commissioner, I’ve focused on economic development that creates family-wage jobs and builds a strong tax base so our communities can thrive. Today, in addition to being the Chair of Wasco County, I serve as principal of S3B Group in the construction sector.

My wife Betsy and I have been married for more than 40 years. We enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren at our home and farm just outside The Dalles. I care deeply about the future of our state, and I’m ready to bring experienced, common-sense leadership to Salem.
