It's no secret that Oregon families and businesses are feeling squeezed by rising housing costs, energy prices, and everyday expenses. Unfortunately, Salem has contributed to this situation by passing poorly conceived policies that have only made things worse. I believe the state government must focus on practical policies that reduce financial pressure on working families, businesses and seniors. My approach is grounded in fiscal responsibility and expanding economic opportunities for all.
COST OF LIVING
Every family deserves to feel safe in their community. As a Wasco County Commissioner, I fully supported our county’s sheriff department and strengthened local law enforcement capacity. In addition, our county transportation department has the resources they need to ensure our roads are well maintained with a focus on safety. I am committed to bringing that same results-driven approach to communities across House District 52. Healthy economies can produce safe and healthy communities.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & SMALL BUSINESS
Small businesses are the backbone of the Gorge, Mt Hood and East County economy. My background in economic development and construction gives me firsthand insight into what employers need to grow and create jobs. I support a predictable, business-friendly environment that encourages investment and innovation and keeps businesses here in Oregon. I will stand up for our farmers and Ag community and protect them from more bad state policies that make their businesses unprofitable.
House District 52 depends on a safe and reliable I-84 corridor for commuters, freight, and tourism. I believe Oregon must prioritize maintaining and improving critical infrastructure in the Gorge without imposing unnecessary taxes on the families and businesses who rely on it every day. Transportation investments should focus on safety, congestion relief, and strengthening our region’s economic connectivity.

Students deserve a strong education system that truly prepares them for college, careers, and success in the real world. I support accountability, local control, and practical pathways, including career and technical education, that help build a capable, job-ready workforce. Parents and teachers must be strong partners in improving student outcomes and preparing the next generation for a successful future.
